Another blog post worth pootling over to!

Just seen this over on one of my favourite children’s book blogs Playing by the Book. Madam Toft has busily reviewed Sam Gayton’s The Snow Merchant, and whilst it’s an excellent book review, what I always find far more exciting is what Madam Toft does with her books. And this time, it’s a corker!

You see, in the book a lot of chemicals and potions are created. And Toft and her two ‘helpers’ have been busy recreating these with just a jam pail, food colourings and other cake and jam making bits and bobs. The results were clearly a lot of fun and I’m left wondering whether 20 something is too old to play about in the kitchen too.

Check it out, and take a look at my lady Toft’s other reviews too – she’s always doing something exicting with the books she reads. A blog that is very well worth following.
