It’s amazing who you meet on Twitter

Well, it is! Today I met a very nice chap named Gary Sheppard, who was kind enough to leave me a link to his website. He’s an aspiring children’s writer who specialises in writing rhymes and poems.

I’m not sure why this guy hasn’t been published yet (I don’t know the inner workings of publishing, but I’m fairly sure it’s complicated), but I honestly hope he is soon. Take a peek at his poem Cureton Bett (the world’s most incredible jet set vet!), it gave me a giggle. There’s an interesting argument going on in some of his posts in the comments about whether children can understand some of more complex or unusual language he uses, which is also worth reading through too.
